This errors is usually do to redirected folders similar to roaming but only some user folders are on the server. If you need assistance with your network licenses, give us a call at 88, we're here all week! Well, most weeks anyway. If you try to do that with the MAC it’ll break it and format your server (just kidding). Stop the service, open the license file and change the server name, save, start the service. If the server name changes, it’s an easy fix. However, if the IP address changes you’re fine unless you’ve directed the client machines to look to that IP for the license manager. In your license file, all of the encoding is based on the MAC address, so if that changes you need all new license files. You can "lock it down" or "hard code" the MAC on a virtual machine/server, check your documentation on how to accomplish that. Some virtual machines generate a new MAC address each time you launch them. This is typically "burned into" the card, but with "Virtual Machines" you can change it. Basically anything that needs to connect to a network/Wi-Fi will have a MAC address. Your NIC (Network Interface Card) has one, your wireless card has one, even your cell phone has one. MAC is Media Access Control address (MAC address) and is a unique identifier for your network device.
